Garden aspect — frequently asked questions
Stand at your back door facing the garden. If you're looking roughly south, your garden is south-facing; north means it's mostly shaded. The easiest check is a compass app on your phone, or see where the sun is at midday — if it's shining straight down the garden, you're south-facing.
